You’ll begin a journey on a safari exploring two of Tanzania’s beautiful parks, Mikumi and Ruaha National Parks. You’ll begin your journey with a scenic drive to Mikumi NP, home to diverse wildlife, including elephants, lions, and giraffes. You will enjoy the Maasai culture and their traditions before heading to your camp for an overnight stay. On day two, you’ll continue your adventure with a morning game drive in Mikumi before departing for Ruaha National Park, Tanzania’s largest wildlife habitat.

The day begins with the pick up either from your hotel or the ferry and drives you to the SGR station for your train to the Morogoro region, which will take approximately 1 and a half hours. Upon arrival, the driver-guide will be waiting at the station to take you to Mikumi National Park for check-in at your camp. After lunch, you will have time to relax before Maasai Boma for learning about their culture, such as the famous age set organization system and traditional clothes. Your dinner and an overnight stay will be at Camp Bastian Mikumi.

On this day there will be an early pickupfrom your camp at 6:30 AM for a Mikumi game drive. Your driver will drive to Mikumi National Park, where you will spend almost the whole day in the wild spotting animals such as the apex predator, the lion, and many more. You will have your lunch inside Mikumi Cottages. Then, you'll continue with game drives till evening, waiting for the next day's safari to Ruaha National Park. The Great Ruaha River, the park's nickname, is essential for supporting its diverse wildlife. Although Ruaha is one of the largest national parks in Tanzania, it is rich in a variety of animals. It is also one of the least crowded parks, making your safari experience feel remote and exclusive.

The day will begin with an early departure at 6:30 AM, heading to the Iringa region, where Ruaha NP is located. After breakfast, your expert driver-guide will drive you straight to your lodge just outside the park for check-in, dinner, and overnight stay, waiting for the next actions.
You will have a picnic lunch in the park, where you can take some time to rest. After lunch, the game drive will resume until the evening. As you drive along the Great Ruaha River, you can expect to see several animals, including buffalo, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, impalas, warthogs, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, greater and lesser kudu, sable and roan antelopes, as well as different species of birds, plants, and reptiles.

After breakfast, your expert driver-guide will pick you up in the wild, ready for jungle action. You will explore Ruaha, Tanzania’s largest national park, known for its rugged terrain, baobab-studded plains, and high concentration of predators. Spot lions, leopards, elephants, and the rare African wild dogs. You'll enjoy a picnic lunch by the Great Ruaha River before returning to your lodge.

You'll start the day with an early morning drive to Morogoro, 5 hours on the way from Iringa to the Jakaya Train Station in the Morogoro region, where you will board the electric train (SGR) back to Dar es Salaam.
After breakfast, you will begin your return journey to Dar es Salaam, concluding your unforgettable safari experience.
